Hannah McCafferty
Hannah is currently a Trustee of the Maths Recovery Council UK and Ireland and is a member of the Maths Recovery Executive Committee. She graduated from the University of Dundee with a BEd in Primary Education in 2015 Most of her teaching career has been based in a small rural primary school in South Lanarkshire , where she held the remit of Numeracy Lead. Hannah holds a PGDE in Middle Leadership and Management (with distinction), focusing on leading and improving outcomes in Numeracy at school level. She became an accredited Maths Recovery Teacher in 2023 and is now working towards becoming an accredited Maths Recovery Trainer. Since 2024, Hannah has been working as a Numeracy Development Officer with South Lanarkshire Council , In this role she supports the authority’s roll out of Maths Recovery training while delivering high quality professional learning to practitioners modelling sessions for schools, demonstrating effective Maths Recovery pedagogy to strengthen practice and raise attainment in Numeracy.
