Maths Recovery Intervention Specialist Course
Tuesday November 23, 2021
Courses Venue: South Lanarkshire
The eight- day intervention programme is for teachers and experienced teaching assistants involved in mathematics intervention. It will enable teachers to become specialists in diagnosing and advancing student understanding and numeracy development and equip them to support colleagues within the school community.
Training takes place over 4 sessions over one or two terms. An initial two days is followed by three further two days with gap tasks in between.
Delegates will need access to a videorecorder (and playback facilities) as assessment and teaching sessions are routinely filmed during training.
The cost is £1,200 per person and includes:
- Eight days face-to-face training
- Essential assessment packs
- Three course books
- Continuing support through an MR Consultant
Training can be booked by groups of schools or local authorities to share costs and to make up the minimum number of trainees. The minimum number for each course is 15 and the maximum number is 20.
